Here are a couple of requests:
- Burn candles in provided candlesticks or votive candles in votive holders only. Candles drip and wax which damages furniture tops, bed covers and carpets.
- Please do not flush sanitary supplies or condoms. Use the sani-bags provided and place in the waste basket for disposal.
- Do not leave garbage out at night because it attracts animals. Remove your garbage bag from the can and tie tightly at the top. Leave your garbage outside in the morning for pick up.
- Please don’t pour grease down a drain since it will play havoc with the sewage system. Use the grease can under your sink. Pouring grease outside will attract animals.

We are in the great Alaska Interior! Bears and moose are nearby. So are some pretty large flying insects. They are not used to people (except the bugs) and, caught at the right time, they can do much hurt. Just give them a wide berth … especially a protective mama moose or bear.
